Aqui Acolá is a festival that preserves and promotes traditional Madeiran culture, with emphasis on popular songs from Ponta do Sol. In the celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of the Ascension there is a unique moment that brings together all the Saloias that visited the houses of all the places in the Municipality in the Visits of the Holy Spirit.
Remember and enjoy the most beautiful songs of this unique Madeiran tradition and appreciate the different ways of dressing according to the tradition of each place.
Animation - Pascal Group

In the continuation of the promotion of popular culture, we present the Pascal Group, led by the Ponta do Sol artist Zé Alberto. This is a group that recovers the popular style, traditional in Madeiran festivities.
In the atmosphere that celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of the Ascension, with the presence of the singing of the Holy Spirit, we recommend a traditional group that will prolong the commemoration in the churchyard of the main church of Ponta do Sol, in the style of the Madeiran arraial.
Remember and enjoy the most beautiful popular songs and, without fear, put your voice to the test and, who knows, give way to your little dancing foot.
Ponta do Sol Folklore Group

The Ponta do Sol Folklore Group was born in 1981 and has a remarkable work in collecting, preserving and disseminating the uses and customs of Madeira, in particular those of the Municipality of Ponta do Sol.
In addition to being an effective member of the Portuguese Folklore Federation since 1990, having performed at various national and international folklore festivals, he has been responsible for promoting the traditions of Ponta do Sol in all editions of the Aqui Acolá Festival.
This year is no exception and the Group presents several live paintings, representative of the History of Ponta do Sol at the end of the 19th and 20th centuries.
