Mahdi Hléwi is a Tunisian DJ based in Portugal with over 10 years of experience. His sets blend deep electronic rhythms with tribal and oriental elements, creating powerful and atmospheric dancefloor journeys.
Beyond DJing, Mahdi is also a musician and multi-instrumentalist, integrating live percussion, guitar, and vocals into his performances to bring an organic and distinctive layer to electronic music.
Known for his precision, musical depth, and strong sense of progression, his sets move seamlessly from hypnotic grooves to high-energy peak-time moments.
Tomás Carro Alvite, artistically known as Didgetomm, is a multi-instrumentalist with over 24 years of experience, recognized for his mastery of the didgeridoo – a traditional Australian instrument characterized by its deep and continuous sound. Throughout his career, he has developed his own musical language, exploring the didgeridoo rhythmically and percussively, in an innovative and engaging approach.
In his live performances, he combines the didgeridoo with instruments such as handpan and percussion, creating soundscapes that blend organic and contemporary elements. A regular presence at festivals and events related to music and well-being, Didgetomm brings to the Aqui Acolá Festival an immersive musical experience, marked by improvisation, the energy of the moment, and the connection between tradition and modernity.
KIK
Friday | 15th of May | 1:00 a.m. | Stage Largo do Pelourinho | Outdoor
KIK is the new project from two central figures of the sonic enigma HHY & The Macumbas: Jonathan Uliel Saldanha and João Pais Filipe, whose work has channeled intensity through collective strength.
Moving away from acoustic instruments, the duo focuses on synthetic drums and a meticulously crafted soundscape centered on two forces: rhythm and sound. One represents the irregular beat that distorts the perception of time. The other is a restricted palette of musical elements. Each rhythm possesses its own universe of sounds that evolve slowly as the track progresses, creating a sensation of phase shift, of something that remains without ever fully settling.
They bring their debut album, “NIGHTSHIFT,” to the Aqui Acolá Festival, guaranteeing an immersive and hypnotic experience.
