It was an admiration for the people we call Vikings that led composer and producer Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet to form SKÁLD, a band inspired by the myths and legends of Scandinavia.
SKÁLD does not seek to recreate a bygone era, but rather an adventure, an experience that evokes history, a journey that makes us dream of nature, forests, rivers, and the mysteries found in the folklore of the Far North.
Five musicians answered SKÁLD’s call: the drums vibrate with powerful beats, the instruments convey ancestral magic, and the voices merge into a whirlwind, featuring Steeve Petit, Marie Potosniak, Marti Ilmar Uibo, Guillaume Levy, and Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet.
Let yourself be carried away by ancient folk traditions as you prepare for a vibrant odyssey that will take you through medieval Scandinavia to meet the Huldufólk (“the hidden people”).
