Sofia Ferreira was born in Funchal and grew up immersed in the world of fado. She refined her art in Madeira’s traditional fado houses, gaining recognition after joining the contemporary group Fado das Quinas.
Her talent stood out at Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias, one of Madeira's most prestigious venues, following the release of her debut album, “Minha Voz.” With a repertoire that blends classic fado with a modern sound, Sofia Ferreira has been an ambassador for Madeiran fado, bringing her art to new audiences and regional and European stages.
