Tangedores do Atlântico

The musical group Tangedores do Atlântico brings together three of Madeira's leading traditional instrumentalists: Paulo Esteireiro, Roberto Moritz and Roberto Moniz. The band's repertoire is inspired by Madeira's rural and urban musical tradition, with the stringed instruments of the Madeiran tradition - the braguinha, rajão and viola de arame - taking centre stage.
In addition to the Madeiran repertoire, the group also performs works that cross influences from different Atlantic countries, but always with a Madeiran musical emphasis. In this event, Ricardo Correia will make a special appearance on bass ukulele and effects.
