Madeiran Sérgio Marques, distinguished by Wine – Essência do Vinho magazine as Sommelier/Wine Director of the Year, is a national reference in the world of wine. A specialist in wines and food pairing, he has developed a career of excellence linked to the appreciation of wine culture, bringing producers and consumers closer together through knowledge, sensitivity and enogastronomic experience.
At the Aqui Acolá Festival, Sérgio Marques will present a guided tasting dedicated to some of the most representative wines of Madeira and mainland Portugal. The session will highlight the wines of Barbeito, where he currently works as a winemaker, exploring the richness of regional grape varieties and creating wines that combine identity, balance and authenticity. There will also be a journey to the Douro, with reference to Aneto wines, produced in the Baixo Corgo region by Francisco Montenegro, recognized for their elegance and distinct character.
This wine experience costs €10, including a glass and coaster, providing participants with a moment of discovery, sharing, and appreciation of Portuguese wine heritage. (SOLD OUT)
