Traditional handmade air balloons construction

The traditional balloon-making workshop invites the community to immerse themselves in one of the most emblematic traditions of Ponta do Sol.
This is an opportunity to learn artisanal techniques, share knowledge between generations, and actively participate in the preservation of a custom deeply rooted in local identity.
The hot air balloons, handcrafted by the participants, will be launched later on Sunday at 2 pm, in a collective moment of great symbolism. As part of the Ascension of the Lord celebrations, this gesture represents joy, faith, and communion, carrying to the sky not only the balloons but also the living expression of popular culture and devotion.
The workshop costs €5 and those interested should register using the form provided.
