Portugal's gastronomic diversity is incredible. The art of cooking and serving food is well developed in our culture. The Aqui Acolá Festival has decided to explore the flavours of the Alentejo and bring them to Madeira, in a show cooking that promises to make your mouth water.

We have invited Chef André Lopes, who was born in the Alentejo and is passionate about the Alqueva and traditional Alentejo gastronomy, to come to Ponta do Sol and show us how to cook the region's most delicious dishes.

The chef leads cooking classes and immersive experiences as part of his Alqueva Experience project, where he combines gastronomy, culture and nature to create exclusive experiences for tourists visiting the region.
